IMA主催のフォトコンテスト「IMA next」テーマ“DREAM”（アレック・ソス審査）のショートリスト受賞者、イオアンナ・サケララキによる個展「The Truth is in the Soil」が、8月20日（土）より曳舟・Reminders Photography Strongholdで開催される。
イオアンナ・サケララキは、フィクション、コラージュ、アーカイヴを用い、写真を存在論的な提案として位置づけるコンセプチュアルな創作活動を行なっている。時間と空間の領域を行き来したり、個人的な悲しい経験がいかに記憶と記憶の喪失を通じた普遍的な旅となるのかを探りながら、ひとつのイメージが現実を記録するだけでなく、いかに私たちの知覚を無限に拡張する能力をもっているかについて探求をしている。
会期中は作家本人も来日し、オープニングアーティストトークや関連トークイベント「写真家と写真集出版について語る日」が開催されるほか、同タイトルの特典付き写真集も販売予定。
